Mrs. Hellie (sp) Marsteller, 63, a former resident of Russellville, died at her home in West Lafayette, Thursday evening. funeral services were held Sunday in Lafayette. The remains were cremated. Survivors are the husband, George Marsteller, seven children; Frank of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Olive M. Walk of Hayden, Charles of near here, Mrs. Yvette Clodfelter and John, Paul and James of Lafayette. Her mother, step father, three brothers and three sisters also survive. Two children preceded her in death    --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker who so graciously donated her Roachdale Times obituary collection - greatly appreciated!!

Mrs. Hettie Martha (Perry) Marsteller, 63, wife of George E. Marsteller, died Thursday evening at 6:30 o’clock at her home, 130 South Grant Street, West Lafayette after several months’ illness. Her marriage to Mr. Marsteller took place in 1893 and they came to West Lafayette from Russellville nine years ago. She was a member of the Christian Church at New Richmond and Eastern Star Lodge and Pythian Sisters of Russellville. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Olive Walp, Hayden and Mrs. Yvette Clodfelter, West Lafayette; five sons, Frank, Carawfordsville; Charles, Fincastle; John, Lafayette and Paul and James, West Lafayette; also three sisters, Mrs. May Jones, Indianapolis, Mrs. Kate Barker and Mrs. Anna Bonin, Lafayette; three brothers, Charles Perry, New Richmond; Lewis Perry, Russellville and Stephen Perry, Crawfordsville; her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams, Romney and 10 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Rogers & Henderson Funeral Home after 6 o’clock Friday evening. Services will be held there Sunday at 2 p.m.; Rev. TF Williams, DD of Trinity ME Church, officiating. The body will be taken to Indianapolis for cremation. – kbz
